How to design the location layout of the elevator

How to design the location layout of the elevator

Crowded people will not only hinder the normal working order of hospitals but also lead to the spread of diseases. There are doctors, patients, visitors, escorts and visitors in the hospital building, and there are clean and polluted items that need to be transported vertically. Therefore, the location of the elevator should be treated differently according to the nature of its use.
For elevators that transport people, three issues should be paid attention to:
First of all, the relationship between the entrance hall and the traffic core should be well handled, and the convenient connection between the elevator hall and the entrance hall should be fully considered in the design so that patients can quickly find the location of the elevator hall and reduce their detours and unnecessary inquiries.
Secondly, the guide signs in the lobby and elevator hall should be clear and accurate to effectively guide people to reach their destination quickly. In addition, operating room elevators, ICU elevators, and medical care elevators should be separated from each other for easy management and use.
The elevator for transporting goods should be designed according to the nature of use. The entrance of the dirty elevator should be close to the dirty washing room and the temporary garbage storage room. The exit of the basement and the first floor should be close to the outer wall or driveway to facilitate the transfer. Elevators transporting foreign items should consider the convenience of nearby parking and unloading of transport vehicles, and the floor parking position should be convenient for contact with the warehouse or directly into the storage warehouse.
The medicine freight elevator inside the ward, it should lead directly from the pharmacy to the upstairs nursing unit, nurse station, or treatment room to facilitate the delivery of medicines. The small freight elevators between the central supply and the operating room, between the kitchen and the dining room should also be directly connected to the function rooms.
The layout of passenger elevators in medical buildings should be mainly used to transport people, and can also be used to transport some small medical equipment. There are no specific requirements for the plane size of the elevator hall for medical equipment in terms of use, but the design of the medical elevator group and the medical elevator hall should consider the use requirements of medical equipment. In graphic design, the principle should be that the bed car can be used reasonably. Considering the particularity of the hospital, the size of the elevator hall in crowded places should be appropriately increased in the design.
