What are the general characteristics of freight elevators

Freight Elevators are designed to move large loads, such as freight and large vehicles. They are often built with heavy-duty steel walls, a motor hoistway, and a reinforced door to ensure the safety of those who use them. The interior of freight elevators is also designed for utility and durability. The floor is typically made of no-skid steel with a non-slip surface.
Freight elevator doors may be manually operated or electronically operated. The manual versions may require a door button or strap to be moved. Manual doors are often unfinished, so the doors can take a beating during daily operation. For this reason, it is important to ensure that the freight elevator has a door lock before entering or exiting the building.
Freight elevators can be divided into two classes: Class C1 and Class C2. Class C1 freight elevators are intended for industrial trucks and four-wheeled vehicles. The combined weight of the vehicle and the load cannot exceed the rated capacity of Class C1 elevators. A lift truck or forklift can load and unload an industrial truck onto a Class C1 freight elevator.
Freight elevators are often confused with service elevators, which are simply modified passenger elevators for the purpose of carrying light freight. In contrast, service elevators are typically located in employee areas of buildings. A freight elevator can also have vertical doors, whereas a service elevator typically has a conventional horizontal door.
Generally speaking, freight elevators are used in commercial buildings to provide accessible access to multiple floors. In contrast, passenger elevators have different requirements. For example, passenger elevators must meet ASME A17.1 codes. Service elevators also have to meet requirements for accessibility, as they serve both passengers and freight.

Vertical cargo transportation TENAU machine roomless freight elevators are in compact structure, adopting gearless synchronous holster and a slim control cabinet, Therefore, machine roomless space is required, which greatly reduces the construction costs and elevates the quality of the elevators, making it the model for modern vertical transportation.
