The safety touch panel is the second line of defense of the medical elevator door safety system, adding double insurance to the safety of taking the elevator. The safety touch panel is installed at the edge of the elevator door and is usually made of rubber or plastic with a certain degree of elasticity. When the elevator door touches any object during the closing process, the safety touch panel will be compressed and deformed due to the obstruction of the object. The two technologies of light curtain protection and safety touch panel do not exist in isolation, but cooperate and work together to build a safety protection network for medical elevator doors. In daily operation, the light curtain protection can respond quickly to foreign objects entering the elevator door area at the first time with its non-contact detection method, effectively preventing most of the occurrence of pinching accidents. The safety touch panel is a supplementary means. When the light curtain may have a detection blind spot, or fails to work in time due to some special circumstances (such as strong light interference causing the light curtain to misjudge, objects approaching the elevator door quickly but not being captured by the light curtain in time, etc.), it can play the advantage of contact detection to ensure that even if an object comes into contact with the elevator door, the door can be triggered in time to open in reverse, thus ensuring the safety of the elevator to the greatest extent.
